Objective of the Research
Research supports positive outcomes with CE use in many industries, however, there are different perspectives on what type of organization it’s best suited for as well as how it should be strategically integrated into the development process. This research aimed to assess various medical device organizations for the implementation level of CE constructs and comparing it to their product success can help identify if CE is a promising strategy to reduce cost or time to market in the medical device industry. Additionally, organizational and team structures between small, medium, and large companies were compared to help support what type of company infrastructure is best suited for CE practices.
